Atomic Attack is the personal website of Calvin Ho. AA was formed in 1997. Working on a wide range of projects that cover design, art direction, illustration & motion for the music, fashion, art, film & entertainment industries. Below are some past projects which are not directly related to design as such but more of Calvin's love with music, magazines, collecting toys, writing and creating interesting online projects.

Past collaboration projects

In 1999 when the internet was still young & fresh, Atomic Attack curated one of the first online collaboration projects called "Love is a four letter word", two years before the TV series of the same name . Artists include Sountain, Powergraphixx, DHKY, and Atomic Attack. The project sky rocketed in visits that it was listed as the top 50 websites worldwide during that year. Calvin was also part of the Home Panaramic Project instigated by Rinzen from Australia and exclusive design work in 3 issues of NY's Neomu magazine.

Creative Communities

The pioneers of design community online website from L.A. "K10k.net" invited Calvin as one of their permanent news author representing the Asia region and to report forward thinking design on the web. Calvin has been interviewed by Japan's Shift, the very first online web creative community for his work on Atomic Attack's magazine Chalk!, and later was invited to write and report for Shift with a monthly column from Hong Kong. In 2009, Calvin has been accepted as part of the Cargo Collective, and has 2 permanent featured projects on Behance network.

Music, Djing & Consulting

Calvin Ho first started djing in back in 1988 when he was still a student fine art degree in Australia. His first love is electronic music, Chicago House and UK electronic pop. Other interests like Hip Hop, Funk, Jazz, Latin, Disco would later open up his love of music through the record shop 10 years later. Ever since then, he has been djing and promoting for high profile clients like Nike, Adidas, Diesel, D-Mop, Nokia as well as night clubs, press events, bars and art galleries. Calvin has also worked as a club promoter for bars & clubs designing visuals and marketing for parties, album covers, flyers & posters. With the need to break clichés of what we hear at clubs and on radio in Hong Kong, Calvin is planning to focus on Atomic Attack's very own radio show aptly titled "Moustache in Disguise."

Record Shop & Salon

Between the period of 1999-2004, Calvin opened his underground dance music record store under the name of Atomic Attack Sounds in Causeway Bay. He later moved the store into this apartment together so he can run both the store and also continue his design work. Later, a salon was also added which was run by his wife Claudy Yuen. During this time Atomic Attack released an independent fanzine called “Chalk” that was recognised by Shift in Japan, DJ magazine in the UK and was also sold in Paris.
